I was laid off in August and it was a total shock. My manager was really unprofessional - just called me and delivered the news in his normal unprofessional manner and told me to take the rest of the week off. He thought it would make me feel better that I was getting severance and Cobra (expensive) insurance. That is all I got for more than 23 years of service. I hope that the competition - specifically Amadeus - cleans Sabre's clock and takes all of their airline and agency business here in the US. Amadeus has opened an office in Dallas and they are focused on doing just that.
I think that this site has not been shared on social media because when you sign your severance package it specifically says that your severance pay will be impacted if you put anything on social media that is deemed derogatory towards Sabre.
If you are a current employee don't quit...make them lay you off so you get a package.
