i am not aware of any layoffs, there is some backstabbing in the corp, but overall the company is cool and most folks are good peers. i was a buyer over there for about two years, i left 3 months ago - good luck to everyone who stayed, i think there are no layoffs right now but it's corporate america, you never know what's going on.

Not a good company at all. It also engages in criminal behavior... It just lost in a federal case and its arbitration was thrown out again.. they like limiting peoples rights... rather than fixing violations of the law..
How can you post a comment when you don't have a clue of what is happening at store level and you aren't employed by Neiman Marcus any longer? The company laid off 500 employees who lost their jobs!
That is the first wave the tsunami is on the way. The company is poorly run with too many employees standing around collecting a paycheck. Every retailer is financially struggling and feeling the crunch. Lay offs will be massive to make the company look profitable on paper.
Where did you go?
