Thread regarding Emulex Corp. layoffs

new guy, Emulex used to have a booming business with revenue growing at a very fast rate, those were to good ol' days, those days are gone. the co has not invested in the future, what is ELX going to do as FC is maturing and getting replaced? more FC? that's why you see what you see today, for a long time this company existed only for one reason, pay the execs huge money, that's it. also made some terrible acquisitions along the way. so as the revenue declines they have to cut more and more, it's a death spiral with no hope in sight (especially for employees).
