Well, it seems the only safe bet in Emulex now is with Endace. They get their merit increase and were exempt from cuts and are expanding. Plus, it seems they are driving the direction of the company to focus more in the NIC space. Sounding more and more like HP and Compaq. So, new guy, if you are new to the industry, welcome to the ever popular holiday tech tradition of layoffs before the holidays. No need to get folks hopes up before the new year when you can squash them before hand. Let's all sing together, " You're a mean one, Mister Grinch...."
