Thread regarding DIRECTV Group Inc. layoffs

How about venting about overtime - I've had more or less mandatory over time almost every week for almost three months now. Initially it all it started by being let's do a major push this week and get us over the hump, now it is every week, things are getting worse, managers are getting stressed out, the whole team is just spent and burn out is rampant. Also, have you guys noticed that here at DIRECTTV we do not get a proper notice for anything, new policies or processes, the need to work weekends or holidays - we are just told what to do and mgmt just expects us to shut up and deliver. I've had experience with many large companies here in LA, but I've never seen such poor communication and planning - proper resource planning is just non-existent, period...
