BAH reduced its workforce by about 500 during 2013, we expect to trim head count in the coming year in areas with less growth potential – this is all based on what CFO Strickland said earlier this week. The revenue keeps dropping, we were down almost 2 pecent. We have 24K employees now, add 0.5K that got lost you’ll get the picture. So it’s a bleak outlook for Booz, things are going south and will continue to do so. We have a major image problem and a major operational model problem – that’s why layoffs happen frequently and that’s why we are not adding headcount as our peers are kicking butt and are hiring instead of laying off people. Now, granted that some areas (e.g., cybersecurity and cloud computing) are doing fairly well we are exposed across the board in a number of sectors with a sluggish or no growth potential.
Now, do not start me on the 401K reduction (we dropped contribution limits from 10% to 6%) and an awkward incentive comp model. I am not going there…
