Thread regarding iCrossing layoffs

In typical iCrossing fashion, time to cut loose those who have been overworked for so long so the fat cats can continue to shuffle papers and keep their 150K+ jobs. 3 of my best friends who worked well over 2 years for the company and gave evertything (and have young kids) got axed this past week. No warning, even with active searches for positions needing filled. Why weren't those individuals offered an opportunity to move to a different position. Even with a cut in pay, I know they would have greatly appreciated the opportunity to consider it. Why not shut down offices with less than 10 people in them and move those people to a different office or telecommute? There have to be better options for managing costs than blindsiding employees just before the holidays. Shows they don't give a sh*t about their people.
