I was let go from Mama last year. I was so devastated… My peers (and sometimes competitors) were extra supportive but you could tell they felt VERY SORRY for me. But within ONE month I had another job, better salary, better benefits, and double dipped for about five months. Who should be feeling sorry for me now? Sadly, several of those counterparts were "displaced" recently and now I'm the supportive one. But there is life after Merck after all and it is BETTER. So, I'm being supportive of those "displaced" and hoping that they will see they are the lucky ones. Make no mistake, layoffs will continue at Mama, get ready, be in peace with it, move on and be happy…
