I to cannot believe how Manulife has been. They spent 1,000 and 1,000 of dollars on training and on having experts assess all the job position. In many cases these experts told Manulife that the balance of direct reports to a supervisor was uneven. The suggestion was to try and even it by taking some direct reports away from a supervisor who has many and moving them to report a supervisor who had only a few. In some cases even promote another person within their area to a supervisor and divide up the direct reports. Well after Manulife spends all this money they do exactly the opposite. The clean house let go supervisors who have been there for over 20 years, demote other supervisors and leave one supervisor responsible for the full dept. I just dont see the logic in that. Manulife took a big step backwards. Not only have the let go a lot of upper and middle management but there will be many employees who will loose their jobs to Manila. Damn what ever happen to a true Canadian company. There was a time Manulife cared about their employees and was true to the Canadian worker. Now all they care about is the almight dollar which they aren't doing so good at making and they hell with the canadian people.
