PepsiAmericas used to be the world's 2nd biggest bottler of Pepsi-Cola products, and also had contracts to produce drinks for Dr Pepper's Snapple Group and other smaller regional brands (many of them sodas). PepsiAmericas had around 20 bottling plants in the United States and had a presence in over ten countries in Europe and some countries in the Caribbean. PepsiAmericas had corporate headquarters in in Minneapolis, Minnesota and PepsiCo held a 41.1% stake in the company. The company was bought by PepsiCo in 2010 after some struggle with regulatory authorities and a new subsidiary of PepsiCo was formed (Pepsi Beverages Company)
