Dollar/Thrifty got hit really hard in 2008 - I think close to 1000 people were let go - I hear that Canada is affcted today - cannot confirm though

Though it's about 13 yrs too late-
All I know is while DTG was rough around that time Scott Thompson trimmed a lot and turned it into a lean machine that made Hertz and Avis go into a bidding war for two years. Hindsight is 20/20 and I should have bought stock in DTG when it was low.
