To put it simply, Pitney Bowes is a mess. It’s difficult to find a company where revenue has consistently declined and the stock price has significantly depreciated since 2009. Pitney Bowes has remained profitable, but that has been mostly due to layoffs. The problem is that Pitney Bowes is mostly laying off its knowledgeable workers opposed to managers. As you might have figured, the company culture is poor.

My aunt was a loyal worker for PB from the 1980 to late 90s when she got laid off along with hundreds of other workers. Although she didn't know it then, it was the best thing that could have happened to her. She went back to college and became a cardiologist. From the projects in the Bronx to owning her own practice and home in Miami.
I worked for PB from the late 1960s to just recently. Spent 43 years with them and sadly watched the decline. I also watched as many other U.S. businesses declined during the late 1990s and in the 2000s. Pitney Bowes was one of the top 10 places to work in the country in the early 1970s... they typically promoted from within, and had some great benefits. The culture was one of "family". As they slowly replaced longtime managers with outside managers and trimmed benefits, employees were less loyal to the company...go figure. They hired a lot of unqualified/ineffective managers and employees during those days. Today there is little opportunity for advancement, pay is stagnant, and workloads are at many times unmanageable. As with most U.S. companies today all employees are considered temporary. No need to try to do anything to keep them regardless of their knowledge base or experience. Sad, but fortunately I had a lot of memorable years there.

Performers who have established relationships with clients for years and years!
Bleeding the talent!!
The dealership model for PB is a "Joke" too!
The ex Neopost cronies are running that!
Ask a dealer???
Disgusting!!
Spent 17 years at PB - was once a great place to work and grow! Problem started when Ex Neopost cronies were brought in over tenured PB performers . Now time is showing the results ! Lost so much talent!!
They are still a profitable corporation, mainly due to shuffling money around playing the coconut game.
However, 2015 3rd quarter they had profit of $152 milliom, the same quarter in 2016 they only made $52 million. So even though its still profit, its a loss year over year.
