Thread regarding Manulife Financial Corp. layoffs

The old boys club is alive and strong at Manulife. Not much of a shakeup at the VP and above level. Thats the level that needed the most change. When I see old man Pat Andrews still walking the halls, who is as backwards and old school as they come, it makes you wonder what the hell the E&E was really all about. Well....we all know what it was about. Get rid of anyone who didn't kiss the ass of the VP and up level, and especially anyone who questioned status quo. I've seen some very talented individuals walk out the door only to question WHY??? Paul Lorentz talks out both sides of his mouth. Don't trust that one. he'd sell his own kids if he thought it would please the upper C's. he used to be a good guy. Paul Rooney and the others at that level made sure they dug their claws into him as deep as they could. Hey...if the pay is what it's all about....keep on making your $2M a year Paul but careful just how high you want to raise your head. Youre not much of a man. And look at poor Steve Smith....how did he survive you ask??? Well he has some friends in high places who knows a guy who knows a friend of a guy....and that folks is how it's done! Basically Rooney was told by a friend to save him or else their would be consequences. Until next time...looking forward to the change management phase....oh that's right....there isn't one!!! What a joke.....time to go to a real company.....it's brighter under the Sun I hear.
