Thread regarding Raymond James Financial Inc. layoffs

It is tough to see what is happening here at RJ especially in IT. WE recently recieved emails asking for volunteers for the "GOng Show" during the Holiday luncheon. Who is going to bother with with that. We also recently recieved information on the "annual" family day at Celebration Station. I sincerely doubt that there will be much of a turn out. These were 2 of the "FUN" parts of the Bob James work ethic of "work work fun" does not feel like that anymore at all. Now it is just "work work work work". I feel so sad about what is happened during the past year. First making, yes making so many people work nights and weekends and holidays to make the merger happen, then the thanks for all of this is 160+ layoffs in IT. Now nobody and I really feel it is nobody wants to go out of their way anymore, nobody volunteers for anything anymore, nobody takes a chance anymore and everyone has their blinders on looking straight ahead and stay hunkered down hoping to make it another day without anyone noticing them.
