Devry did a series of layoffs in July 2012. Coincidentally a lot of the people that were laid off have previously gone to HR to complain because Managers were asking employees to do that were not even included in the job descriptions, some of them involved activities that caused a lot of anxiety. One employee complained and let them know that she tool the job because no presentation skills were involved and that given presentations caused her panic attacks. HR confirmed that these activities were not required to do by the employee, but instead the manager. This person was laid off in July 2012 even though for months she was trying to get another job within Devry. Management is terrible. Even tough you get tuition reimbursement for devry, they still get the money from the Department of Education for the classes that you are taking and then they sent you a check. This seeems shaddy to me!!
