Thread regarding Manulife Financial Corp. layoffs

wow..lets not lose site that this is a business. Everyone who has a desire and the capability can aspire to become a manager, director, AVP, VP and CEO. This business. What do you really believe the CEO should make the same as the a CSR? Last time I check this is 1950 Soviet Union. People who work hard and deliver should be compensated accordingly. Getting rid of VPs, Directors makes sense if it supports the strategy given Strategy drives structure and structure determines process - Hey Boston Consulting Group how much would you charge for that Business 101 that any 4 year business student at Laurier could lay out. Hopefully the people working on the strategy were not the kids from the Boston Consulting group who are doing the grunt work but the strategic thinkers at Manulife who have experience and judgement to make the right calls. My concern is perhaps some of that experience was let go. Keeping my fingers crossed that Manulife can reclaim its spot as an important and respected financial services company in Canada!
