$9.9 BILLION in annual revenue -- they are laying off 75 of 36,000 employees (a whopping 0.2%) -- and all of a sudden Aldi/Bottom Dollar/Whole Foods/etc are killing them and making people realize we don't need them? I'm not even sure how a layoff of 0.2% of the employee base is a big story -- really don't think GE Corporate is really too worried. The stores are still full of folks willing to pay their prices... is it a ripoff -- yep -- but so is the fact that I am now approaching $4/gallon of gas -- but I still drive....
