A typical day at work was waiting on customers and getting all tasks done in a good time

A typical day at work was waiting on customers and getting all tasks done in a good time. I learned a few things from this job and management was decent. Coworkers were very welcoming conversing with them. The manager I had for my place of work would speak with another worker and I felt they were talking about me and it made me feel very unwelcome and wondering why they didn't speak with me about it rather than talking with someone else.... Before I lost my job I had forgot to record just one temperature during closing shift and I got fired for it. I had been noted about doing it ONCE before on a busy day, and got written up for it the first time I did it and was warned further consequences may be result, such as a suspension..... A week later is when I forgot the one temperature during closing and I got called up to the office the next day and lost my job. Also note the task sheets were changed and some duties were forgotten to be noted on that task sheet so I was trying to remember to do them.... Log books for temperatures were very confusing to me and it had cost me my job, rather than working out ways to help me out..... Keeping in mind I only had been there for barely a month.

After 50 years of great service and top notch attitude at GE, I have noticed "an attitude problem" both at my local GE, and I have heard (from a very reliable source) a lot about the mechanics who work for GE repairing their trucks and keeping them on the road. I am told that many of the older mechanics just sit around doing nothing, while the younger/newer mechs. have to do all the work! Apparently management knows this is going on and has no problem with it. This is very demoralizing for the younger worker. Management needs to take a look at its senior mechs. and maybe a physical would be warranted. Maybe a job reassignment would work better, but something had better be done fast. Your younger workers are beginning to look at other job openings!! Come on GE... LET'S MAKE GE NO 1 AGAIN! WM is going to put you out of business if management doesn't get off their behinds and manage (instead of just watching emps sit around waiting for retirement). It appears that top managers are doing the same thing-- sitting around doing nothing and being paid high salaries for doing nothing. PLEASE, DON'T LET MY GE FAIL!
