Funny to listen to people complain about this company. They paid your salary for years. No one minded staying there when the money was coming in, but Strayer makes a good business decision and all hell breaks loose. Lazy people sat around doing nothing and are still out of work I bet. I think it is a great place to work and if you work hard you are rewarded.

I enjoyed my time at Strayer while I was there, but things started to take a turn for the worst over the last 3 years or so. There are a lot of people in leadership roles that do not have the best interest of the company at heart and that is going to destroy the organization sooner of later. I have to say that being laid off last year was one of the best things that could have happen to me. I do think that people get stuck due to the pay and not wanting to take less money, but Strayer work you like a dog and the are very unappreciative of their employees. Many people where let go and then their position where posted the very same week. I hope that things get better but I honestly don't see that happening until they remove some people in leadership roles within the corporate office. I still have friends that work there and unemployment is not where its at so I do hope things start to look up for Strayer for the sake of my friends staying employed. However, I heard that another layoff may be coming because stockholder are not happy with the ROI!
