It never stops at Hasbro, we are so used to layoffs that no news about this or that group being eliminated is surprising anyone. We've see different modes of cost cutting over here, from slow and silent elimination of individuals at all levels to mass layoffs in hundreds of resources. The attitude of most Hasbro folks is to duck and wait until the clouds clear - there is very little any of us can do as there seems to be no pattern in the structure of layoffs. I've seen many people with performance issues leave over last five years, at the same time, I've seen some top performers (well regarded at different level at Hasbro) laid off. My advice to anyone who reads this is to focus on tasks that are given to you and not to mind rumors as they often turn to be not true. Otherwise, you'll go crazy. I have my resume ready since 2009 and just in case I maintain relationships with two recruiter who operate in my area. Good luck!
