Thread regarding Sigma-Aldrich Corp. layoffs

Well we probably already discussed the 7 IS people who lost their jobs in the IS help center. The calls go to INDIA. I was told if I call for help and can't understand the person on the other end to insist on talking to a supervisor to get someone in English. Just think how hard those guys worked and what good did it do them. One upper management person made a comment to me "well you know we are all guaranteed a job".(Sarcasm) I don't know what his point was except none of us want to live in a country where unemployment is so high it becomes dangerous. Many people will become violent and turn to crime. Corporations always pretend to care about the community with charitable outreach on the one hand while putting people in the unemployment line with the other hand.
