Thread regarding Dynegy Inc. layoffs

It has ended. Not the way I wanted. We have become another casualty of Dynegy. Like a tornado, they leave a wave of destruction wherever they touch down. Now what? Do I go jump off the bridge? NEVER! I survived before Dynegy or CHG&E and I will still survive. My Options: (1) Suck the government tit till it runs dry? (2)Apply to other local jobs even though less paying? (3)Move south where life is cheaper and jobs aplenty? (4)Start my own business? Option 4 appeals to me the most. With the severance money + 401(k) + pension money now available to me, I'm taking the risk. If I fail, at least I won't sit down one day and think what if I tried. This is my opportunity to try new things. With God leading the way, I will explore my opportunities. We are Americans, and we became great by taking chances and not accepting defeat.
