Thread regarding Dynegy Inc. layoffs

We are not striking against ourselves. So what would you suggest? If we didn't strike, we still would have voted. Result probably would have been the same. What then? Go to work and hope they pay you what you were making? Union would have been finished at that point. Didn't you listen at the meeting? We ARE still dealing with Dynegy and will be until march or april of next year! We need to get past Dynegy and have a shot at dealing with a new owner. Auction is today. Companies at the auction are probably aware of the strike. Calm down and lets see what we here from the winning bidder. Dynegy may be holding off for that as well. It has only been 1 week. If Art and the rest of the captains did not try to be firm to the crybabies, very few people would be on the line, and it would sent the message to Dynegy that we are weak. Many members from other unions, retirees, and strangers have walked with us. Some have put more time on the line than we have. How embarrasing is that? Come on, stop the complaining and lets get past this auction, and go from there. Solidarity!
