Blackbaud has not had a layoff, rather a consolidation that is to be expected in the normal course of business.
As a result of combining the companies following the Convio acquisition, we recently made some organizational changes which impacted 51 roles across the company worldwide. (Less than 2% of the total employee base.) We are working with those employees impacted to transition to other roles within Blackbaud, as we currently have 120 open positions.
Unrelated, Gene Austin, the Austin-based president of Blackbaud’s Enterprise Customer Business Unit, has made the decision to leave Blackbaud and pursue other opportunities. A new president of the business unit will be announced next week.
