Thread regarding Sigma-Aldrich Corp. layoffs

There were more layoffs last week. Small numbers to hide the company from any media coverage of course. They closed a department that was in WI, PA, and MO. However, most of the MO group is okay for now or until they train the group in India most likely. No packages were offered to those they fired, which included Sr. Scientists. From what was said, it all was handled in an ugly fashion by upper management and left to be a burden on the lower management. I think Smoller was giving us all a warning that the ship was sinking and to bail while we can. It's shameful how quickly a good company can turn.
