GU is expensive, overrated and with dismal sub 40% graduation rates. Yet 15K suckers are enrolled - online component is getting bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger. As for the layoffs, maybe they'll completely switch to online, and there should be no need for anyone except systems administrators that will be kept to maintain the system applications.
