Thread regarding Capella University layoffs

We are under pressure from all sides - Capellas model, online only, worked fine for years but now that we have competition breathing down our necks and large non profit schools pushing into this segment it is going to be more and more difficult. I work in Enrollment and I can tell you that things are getting tougher by the day. All of us have less work than we had before, it's just a matter of time when the execs figure this out (they know it already) and come with a plan on how to let some of us go. I am not sure how large the layoffs will be but I am thinking that if we were to eliminate 50% of my group we'd still have enough time to finish all work. Dont' know, a tricky situation here...
