I am not sure how accurate the numbers are. It is a number that is floating around. From what I have heard, the decision makers kept this close to the vest which is HIGHLY unusual for Sigma. I don't even think that resource managers knew the employees impacted until the day before.
I know of someone that was told but had an offer. So, this person will still get the severance. SWEET!
I know someone that said that she got 3 weeks for every year, cobra for three months, outplacement assistance, and all of her vacation for the year. This was before the vacation policy changed (now we know the reason for that!).
Management needs to get it together. Morale is at an all time low. Most people want to leave, but they would just rather "wait for the package". EVERYONE is hoping and waiting for a package.
