Thread regarding Sigma-Aldrich Corp. layoffs

Layoffs are ongoing this week. It's massive and all of Sigma Aldrich is affected.The parent company (Fluka & Riedel-de Haën)is tightly managing profit targets and since we have issues with sales growth and profitability the only remaining avenue to resolve the issues is cutting work force. It's a pity as SA used to be a great and reputable company where layoffs simply do not happen.
