I love Pascal's sound bite "we've done everything to reduce expenses before reducing staff." That is a bald-face lie. If you only knew how many recommendations I made to my staff, my Director and my VP to cut expenses. No one cared, no one listened. NO one did anything. Yet when Jack Lord came in he wanted to remodel the entire executive suite for the cost of my salary (and the directive was to keep it hush hush). This kind of stuff has gone on for years. Chulick wanted the best of everything at UMHC regardless of the cost. And if you told her "no" she threw a temper tantrum and threatened your job. Abominable management deserves abominable treatment.
