Thread regarding DST Systems Inc. layoffs

A very poorly managed company. DST Output now has a well known, well deserved reputation for layoffs. Every few years they decimate large departments. In between the layoffs, they over-hire. A wildly swinging pendulum of hiring and layoffs. Layoffs are conducted like a mafia hit. They call you into an office, let you know, and you are gone that day. Selection for layoffs seems to have no correlation with job performance or competence. Some of the best employees were let go, while some incompetent employees were kept on.
