Thread regarding Keystrokes Transcription Service layoffs

The owners live high, have condos in Jamaica and Florida, drive a Jaguar, have 2nd row tickets to every venue in the area, but had to cut pay for all employees due to "tough times." Yeah, it's tough. They did away with their major medical insurance and have structured the way to earn PTO in such a way that it is nearly impossible for the MTs to ever earn any. They recently let a BUNCH of very good MTs go with no warning, after promising they had other accounts for everyone who worked on the account that left. They have "restructured" their management structure 4 times in 3 years, constantly create positions and stick people in them who aren't qualified and then bury them in more work than they could possibly accomplish, making perfectly good, hardworking people look inept. It is a very poorly managed company that has become very uncaring of its employees. Emails now have a threatening tone with a nasty undercurrent and the newest coordinator seems to thrive on getting people fired, even if she has to make up a reason. I think my lead is going to leave and she is the hardest worker and kindest lead I've ever known. I know she works tons of hours without pay because she is on all the time and when I asked her if she gets paid OT she laughed. Beware of this company and don't believe its self-hype.
