Thread regarding Charlotte Russe Holding Inc. layoffs

A down 2 comp that was preceeded by years of down 3, down 5, down 14, down 14, is not a turnaround - its a down 38 over 5 years which puts us as one of the worst retailers that is still in business. Its an admission that your business is complete shit. People post on this board, but have no clue what they are talking about. CR had to take another hand out from Advent, that is the only way we are still in business. Its a very sad story, definitely not a turnaround. Company is still not profitable. Good luck, but there are still lots of challenges ahead. The cost structure is still way too high and there are too many people at top positions. Look at the HR/people department for example, that department laid off all the people at the bottom and kept the people at the top, that is why no work gets done in that department. The company is still run like it only has 20 stores, they need to realize its a big company with lots of employees depending on these jobs. We need to get some quality sales people in the field, the people we have working in the field cannot cut it.
