I had friends who worked 10+, 15+ 20+ years at DST Output who also got let go. Any many of them started with the company before it was bought by DST.
The problem with DST and other companies like DST is just not the economy. It's that they are monolithic in size and slow to change with the times. Only thing keeping them afloat is the money they milk from their costumers. They are dinosaurs ready to become extinct.
