Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Judge Leon and CVS merger

The judge likely has a problem with CVS and the stores in DC . If you ever in DC area shop a CVS. Clutter and boxes everywhere. What Service? Long Lines! Rude Pharmacist dominate. Closed early. Out of everything. 1 good store is hard to find .

Ive seen good and bad stores in high crime areas - it's all about leadership and expectations ,

I honestly don't drink the cvs coolaid , we got robbed 4 times in a year , theft bad, fights in the store , d--gs everywhere - but the store

Was in fantastic shape. Employees were mediocre at best. - I hated every minute of it - but did my job - glad to be gone from there

What does high Crime have to do with horrible looking stores??? If you don’t know the answer to that then you are obviously a customer trolling this site and not a retail employee.

A store in an urban area with high crime will not look good. The customer base won't be ideal and theft will be constant. Cvs doesn't believe in supporting stores with hours so You will most likely not have the best retail employees either considering the area. I feel like this is common I don't know how you fail to grasp that.

So what does high crime have to do with horrible looking stores,

Other than DL afraid to go to them?

Nothing ironic about it. DC is well known for a high rate of violent crime compared to other major cities.

That’s not a merger issue with Judge Leon, that’s a cvs corporate issue, because they’ve cut the stores down to nothing! Judge Leon is more concerned with how an Aetna/Caremark combo could really lead to reduced competition by turning CVS into a monopoly, in which all Aetna consumers will be forced to use cvs as their pharmacy. Yes I know I’m dumbing it down. There’s more involved especially with the Caremark possibly squeezing out smaller rival WellCare since they bought Aetna’s med part D biz.
