If 6 of us get together and give ourselves sterling reviews can we get a 300 million payout to top off our outrageous salaries and already exuberant bonus schemes. Maybe we can celebrate by taking the corporate jet to California for the weekend.

I think a reasonable approach is to sit silently in the mid year review and say nothing and write in nothing. There is an old saying....."sometimes saying nothing is saying something". If there must be verbal, speak about how you verified your coffee cup lid was securely fastened to the coffee cup to avoid loss of containment and avoidance of a slip on the floor.

Some managers have told their direct reports to enter some goals, so that Oxy will know how to rate them. Some managers have said they are not going to bother with it. I guess it depends on which manager you have. I'm hoping for retirement package, so I'm not going to bother with it.
