My team has a lot of bright people and I've learned a ton from them in my current role. Biggest drawback is the culture of casual gossip and personal conversations that may go on for longer than half an hour right near my cube. It amazes me the absolute lack of awareness or respect for other people trying to work or be on a conference call only to hear more about someones dying mother or how their kid f*#cked up in school today. Seriously people, shut up and work.

In tech, it’s going downhill. All the good people are gone. People resign every week Everyone is looking for new jobs, waiting to get out. Managers just protect their own teams for job security and don’t care about the company. VPs change every year in engineering. There’s no diversity - it’s one race here. Most teams are contractors - they know nothing and don’t care about the company. EVERYONE is nervous about layoffs and looking to leave.

We are all looking for new jobs. SR management is directing the puppets to burn n turn. I would also trim the fat from a VP we all know too well. What a fat cat.

The ones that are left and ARE NOT CONTRACTORS are still great. The contractors are quickly stripping the Tech carcass clean of all work. They're producing low quality work. Anyone that could leave has left. The rest of us are, as everyone says, The Book of Eli - winding down the clock apocalypse fashion.

I work in one of the call centers. For the most part my teammates are ok but alot of strange ones too. The big issue I have is management and the lack of direction or understanding of how to achieve sales. Our managers do not have selling expedience and most do not have a college degree. Coaching and career pathing is nowhere in this department. It's very concerning to me as I took this job to create a career. I do not understand the direction of this department or how current management is allowed to be so absent.

My old team worked really hard and were very good at what they did. Having said that, I wouldn’t turn my back on 95% of them. Most of them would gladly throw you under the bus if they thought it would get them ahead.

start a new job next week. $160k, new career high, and 45% more than I made at Staples in 2019, plus I get health coverage that doesn't cost more than paying straight cash.

Making more cash is the best revenge.

Not great. As others have said, lucky ones left early (I'm a lucky one) and the ones who are left are by no means the best, they're just the only ones left. Half my team left because of a terrible manager. Told HR that, told their manager that. Manager is still there and has continued to churn through more employees.

Working at Staples is like surviving the zombie apocalypse. The lucky ones were those that got taken out early and are doing something else. The survivors live in endless fear and toil for survival.

Losers and freaks. That includes coworkers, Rsd's and certain VP's. If I had to example only, millennials are probably the worst with their entitlement and horrible work ethic.
