What can be expected as it relates to the merger? What groups will be affected the most? HR will get consolidated? Finance too? IT is always a good target for cost cutting? I am sure anything that has to do with Procurement will be affected as well - that's a big area for savings... Not sure if you have any other ideas?

They announced layoffs today. Also employees are getting hit with a 10% pay cut
How much overlap is there in semiconductors between UTC and Raytheon? It seems like quite a few jobs have been dropped from the Andover semiconductor group since the announcement.
HQ is moving to Boston and new name will be Raytheon technologies. However UT shareholders will own about 57% of the merger. How much will they keep the UTC culture vs. Raytheon?
How will this affect my pension?
Chula Vista plant will be closed by year's end. Lots of people there will be laid off. Sad.
They always hit IT... Now, we'll see what happens this time but IT will be affected. Any cost center will be evaluated. If you are not making money, you will be on the list...
