Thread regarding ADP layoffs

Employee apathy

Looks like we have a new condition at ADP - employee apathy. I've noticed that most people don't seem to care anymore about doing their best. They are just going through the motions every day. Very few people talk and joke around. People can't wait to go home.

It's really sad how the work environment changed here. But I guess that's what happens when employees are treated the way we have been for such a long time...

Those of us left are just waiting for the other shoe to drop. And IF we survive into the next fiscal year how can we realistically have our performance appraised by non existent “check ins” and what we like and loathe in Stand Out. It’s all just a load of c-ap.

I have now worked for two companies that have laid off massive amounts of employees in a short time frame. The attitude of the remaining individuals was, "Why bother giving this job the best I have to offer when I believe they will lay me off next?" One of the companies stated that they needed to remove $1.2M from the HR budget so they started with the admins rather than the country club memberships for their execs. Everyone knows what Carlos is doing and that the only people who will profit are himself and his buddies who have stock options after taking the stock from the employees' 401k program. The writing is on the wall.

It’s actually not that new. It is just now metastasizing faster than ever.
