Thread regarding FTD layoffs

A lawyer and an IT guy walk into a bar...

That's what you get when you try to run a company with zero business expertise. Who thought it was a good idea to put the lawyer and the IT guy with no experience running a P&L (or marketing for that matter) in charge of the company. What could go wrong?

I'm well aware that the problems started before they took the reigns, but they were certainly the wrong bunch to save the day.

The "one last shot" was hiring Walden. We all see how that turned out.

The latest regime was keeping the lights on until buyers could be sourced. It was never about saving the company. Too far gone by the time Rob left!

The lawyer was not hired to save the day. He was hired to anticipate the bankruptcy. FTD was irreparable.

I completely agree although the cold hard fact is that no one let alone a f lawyer and an IT guy can bring profit back to a business built on just customer acquisition and zero margin. Pro was a dressed up bride sold to a Amish suitor and it was destined to be an awkward outcome. Markets reward sustainable businesses not dressed up sh--.
