Dst has now faded away into obscurity. It is no more. With a decade all the Dst code will be replaced. Dst is gone

Outside of Kansas City nobody knows the DST brand. It’s disappointing how many times I hear people say, “DST? What’s that? I’ve never heard of them.” Makes you start to wonder what it was worth spending time there at all.
I think they are referring to the Block 89 building that used to be the main HR building. if not please clarify.
The DST signage was still there when i drove by Broadway building yesterday....when did it disappear???
I worked at Dst, then Hallmark. Hallmark honestly treated me, and all others 10x better than Dst. There was no malice, no blaming others or fault finding. Hallmark was a delight. Dst was pure stress.
Naw, it's to expensive to replace 35 million lines of cobol in ta2000. It'd be amusing if they try, I'd like a ring side seat for that train wreck actually. HS tried to migrate a cobol app to java and failed miserably. The actual conversion part was relatively successful, it failed for other reasons (couldn't scale). But the guy behind that is at walmart now. So, you know, institutional knowledge is depleted leaving mgmt lots and lots of room to repeat mistakes. Which is exactly what you get when these things play out.
