Thread regarding Total System Services Inc. layoffs

Merger = Headcount

You can deny and ignore all you want, but the FACT is TSYS will be eliminating over 600 jobs in the Columbus area over the course of 12 months. If you think a merger happens, especially with another company that is located in a large Metro area, AND is 100 miles away... the Columbus HQ will be NO more.

Divisions with the most cut will be within IT, HR, and Operations. This will not be a good impact on the people who are employed here in Columbus. At all. No matter what is said by the Talking Heads in the Boardroom... you are expendable, and they'll be cashing in.

Synovus is next. Large national bank will come in and buy it - Wells Fargo or Bank of America. Then Columbus will only have AFLAC, WellPoint, CSU, Troy and Fort Benning. Thanks Columbus elected official.

How can they be closing the entire Columbus office by January 2020? There are thousands of employees there. How will they backfill all in Atlanta, the merger won't include the Issuing segment.
