Thread regarding Lenovo layoffs

Does anyone know the process?

Does anyone know the process? Do first line managers know who will be laid off beforehand?

A valid question by @ZcK9VGv-5xjc

Who told you minorities are safe? We are the last hired

and first fired, always. There aren’t enough black people to say grace over at Lenovo ESPECIALLY in management and executive positions. Name 3 African American executives there other than the diversity VP. Go ahead, I’ll wait.

I was a mid level senior employee laid off from Lenovo. They cut senior people because they don’t want to pay their higher salary, white black or purple. Then they replace you with new hires who have zero experience and then can’t figure out why they’re tanking. Ask yourself, why to this day Lenovo has never gone public on NYSE.

First line managers know because they implement the lay-off/firing. They have previously provided input to lists. HR has input based on race and s-x/gender quotas.

Other managers in the division also provide input.

So if you have brown nosed well and are some form of minority or protected class you are safe.

Otherwise, good luck!
