Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Ford doesn’t know how to change

Every company changes if it wants to survive. That’s the essence of long-term survival, I get that, and layoffs are bound to happen as a part of that process. However, I can’t help but to notice that Ford is a company with absolutely no strategy in that change. The logical process would be for them to develop the technology that marks the new era and then align the company structure and the production capacities with the developed technology. Seems Ford is doing it the other way around. Does Ford have autonomous driving technology yet? No. Is Ford in a phase where they can deploy electric cars commercially in a sense that it could bring in significant profits? No. Dispoight all that ford doesn't have a problem adapting the company to something that isn’t there, while laying off workers that are an essential part of the production that bring in money for Ford today.

I started at the Rouge Stamping Plant, running blanker #13, miss those days. Later, I worked in the engine plant before I advanced.

I suggest some of you go work on the assembly line, like where some of us started, you would be far more humble and appreciative. Can't believe all of the negativity, I hope the admins remove some of the ungrateful posts.

Ford is just trying to create better profit margins and they are selling the focus on better tech so that they have good news to counter the bad news which is they are firing to improve profits and the amount upper management can make.
