Agree with the earlier posts that IT was a bloodbath. Several talents were walked out the door. I'm sure they will all be OK. It's the element of surprise which was a k--ler.
Now, I heard a few teams have been given an all clear. Is that true? Are we expecting any more of the LL ranks being affected this week? Not true our department lost 2 white males late 50s, 2 white females mid 50s, 2 non-white males late 50s. All but one were the very best tech specs. One was a supervisor. All had pension and 20+ years of service.
We have been crippled. The people who did all the work and had all the talent were chopped.
I do not think this was about race or gender.
From what I have heard only H1Bs and female LLs Caucasians have been unaffected from the layoffs. So much for the little american guy....
I have yet to see any green cards or H1B's get it.
