What do people do for medical coverage after being laid off? What's the best option out there?

I also took the PRP in 2018 but received Ford Salary Retiree healthcare benefits. Not sure why you decided to shop around?
COBRA is lower cost then private health insurance. I took the PRP in 2018 so I had to shop around for health insurance.
