Saw that people are closing that layoffs are happening at stores, just not in big portions. Could this be a strategy to thin the headcount without causing so much panic as announces closure of a certain store would cause?

This has been going on like clockwork every 60 days for years. Nothing new there.
I am sure that they will most likely get rid off some full timers or maybe all.
