Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

More to the floor

So I've had 0 training in this new process. I've been doi g it for 1 1/2 weeks. I was told today I would be coached if I didn't get both claims and clearance isle cleaned up by Friday. WTF!! At least give me appropriate time to figure this sh!t out before you start coaching me!! How many other claim associates/supervisors are being threatened?

at my store, we were told that the department managers are to take care of there own department's claims, Yet for some odd reason, our grocery managers only goes back and does it when the district manager comes in for a visit, Otherwise, i or the other dsd associate takes care of it. On top of everything else we do. When OGP started up at our store, we were told that anything that comes in for online orders, OGP would be responsible in staging it, I can count on one hand, how many times they have actually been able to do that. I do not mind doing it, but it seems that more and more gets put into our laps to take care of and also do everything in the backroom, exactly by One Best Way. They want to make something that is quick and easy into something that takes longer and harder to do.

My SM is totally clueless. She said we (claims) can do all of the claims that DMs are supposed to be doing now, do the clearance isle, deleted bins, cover DSD, and still have plenty of time to zone when the closers dont get it done. We haven't been able to take any of our breaks since this started 4 wks ago. I dont mind working hard, it makes the day go by faster, but this is ridiculous. After 27 yrs I'm looking elsewhere. Dont know how much longer I can take it. Which I'm sure was the company's plan all along.

We have been on it for 3 weeks and all the training we received was PowerPoint slides printed off. Haven't made to clearance aisle because we can't get claims done because we spend alot of time doing dsd.

So typical of Walmart. In my last 1-2 years, that kind of tension, that no-win situation where you had one manager after another all stomping around your ears, all packing clip boards and pens, all demanding to know 'why isn't this done? And THIS done? And THIS done? And.....' It was absurd. Literally impossible tasks to accomplish with the resources they WOULDN'T give you-----and deaf to all attempts to explain that. 'I DON'T WANT YOUR EXCUSES! GET IT DONE OR WE'LL REPLACE YOU WITH SOMEONE WHO CAN!'

Head shots. That's what these 'people' need.

That is all Wal-Mart management does is threaten people. There is one assistant in the store that is constantly saying that she knows how to do everything and goes strictly by the book. She was put in apparel to do clearance price changes and made the biggest mess. She didn't price anything or group it together. The dept. mgr. had a literal fit and left everything where it was and was then threatened by that assistant if it wasn' t fixed by the end of the week. Needless to say the assistant is no longer over apparel and the clearance clothing is still just like she left it. There are some that should not be managers.
