She has the wrong numbers. She is just repotwhat ford or told her like Detroit News in regards to numbers. 500 was just North American LL6. GSR will be much higher numbers

@izz, Bloomberg might have reported on the financial side of the story (and Jonas' view on the number of cuts), but it certainly doesn't focus on actual job cuts like Phoebe does, and the impact on the workforce.
As an employee, I am glad that I can read something some relatable compared to some financial analysis targeting investors and financial markets.

the fact is this journo covered something that nobody else covered - the freep is in a tough situation as they get money from the industry and i still think the coverage was solid.
Thank you Phoebe - your coverage of the cuts was really good - it's very much appreciated. Thank you for sharing our stories and pointing to this forum as more people are able to see what the employees really think.
Need the margin especially in a downturn. The thinking is that companies with larger margin can increase varible marketing (incentives) and still show a profit. If Ford's margin is small they cannot match and remain profitable.
Expected by who? Some analyst that has been pestering Ford for the last year and a half.
