Here’s the thing with Ford. As an employee you gain great corporate experience and training. They then don’t use it. So when you leave you take that knowledge and realize you were actually underpaid and underutilized. The opportunities for ex-Ford’ers with any skills is just awesome. Those younger folks who get canned today will be able to find a job easily in this economy. I left a ford back in the Nasser era. Great experience overall and I thank Ford everyday for setting me up for success outside.

I agree that Ford gives you experience and then fails to utilize it. I think most young people only work for Ford because it is a steady income, but ultimately, it is not a company for this century. I do like your view of things pertaining to this post though.
